Make Great Family Dogs

Entlebuchers are smart, working dogs that are lovable, protective, and want to be your constant companions.  A natural herding dog, parents of young children must take into consideration that Entles may try to "herd" small children around the house or yard. These dogs are full of energy, so you'll need to be prepared to give them the time and space they need to exercise and stay physically fit. Their devotion to family is unending, so please be prepared to make them part of your family. The reward for your time and attention will amaze you!
Our Kennel
Our kennel is our home. We are located north of Steamboat Springs, in the historic mining village of Hahn's Peak -  right at Steamboat Lake. We would love to have anyone interested in meeting Entles come visit us. We have three Entles now - Lily, her daughter Anka, and our youngest - Matrix's Clapton Diego. Lily is 4 1/2 years old and Anka is 2. Clapton is just about a year old and we hope to breed him if he passes all his tests.
Friendly Dogs
These social, herding dogs easily get along with other breeds and are very friendly towards people. They are great watch dogs who always have one eye on their owner - they are very intent on not missing anything and being at your side is their main goal. Some owners of our pups report that they rarely need to be kenneled, they don't chew up furniture or clothes, (however they do like to carry your socks around!!) and they potty train fairly easily. These dogs originate from high-altitude climates and have silky soft coats that are accustomed to cold weather, but they can thrive in milder environments as well.
